211, how ironic
My first post on this blog, exactly a year ago, was about saving daylight, and my post no.211 (?!?!), a year later, is about...you guessed it, daylight savings. Basically, I reiterate, why don't they just leave daylight alone? Ok, it's cool to have an extra hour to party/sleep on Halloween weekend (then again, that Sunday just seems painfully long), but my body, 4 days after this change, has not adapted AT ALL. Je cherche encore midi à, euh, 11 heures.
I spent all weekend/week saying "Its only *insert new time*?!". Doesn't help that now, it is bloody dark at 5pm. DO you honestly think the cavemen went through this?? Do animals and insects have to alter their cycles to adjust to the Americans? NOOoooo!Good news is, the Americans now switch back in March, not April. Mini-yeah.
The fact that half my clocks are still set at this revolved time (the VCR and my cell phone are smart enough to do this switch on its own, thank God, and even my alarm clock no.2 has a tiny 'daylight' switch I can flick into position in order to activate solar change), does not help. So, watches and clocks have now been 'set back' in my home as of this morning, and hopefully my body will adjust accordingly. Hmmm, the fact that I work an afternoon shift won't help...
